Adolescent jailed 5-years over school fire deaths
A Kenyan young lady has been sentenced to five years in jail for manslaughter over a school dormitory open fire that killed 9 of her co-workers.
The 18-year-old dedicated the offence in 2017 while older 14 in the girl first year of secondary school at the Moi Ladies School in the capital, Nairobi.
The particular court had noticed that she experienced attempted to take her own life twice before the girl started the open fire in her workplace.
The parents and guardians of girls who died in the fire said the sentence was lenient but were glad justice was served, local press report.
