The Recording Academy, the annual music event’s organizers, has added five new categories to the awards scheme ahead of the 2023 Grammy Awards.
The Recording Academy is a learned academy in the United States comprised of musicians, producers, recording engineers, and other musical professionals. The Academy has expanded the prestigious award ceremony by adding five new categories.
The first set of awards in these five new categories will be given at the 65th Grammy Awards, which will be held in 2023.
The five new categories are as follows:
- Songwriter Of The Year (Non-Classical),
- Best Alternative Music Performance,
- Best Americana Music Performance,
- Best Score Soundtrack For Video Games And Other Interactive Media
- Best Spoken Word Poetry Album
