Shakira and Gerard Pique have divorced, according to the Colombian singer and Barcelona star.
The couple, who began dating in 2010, have two sons, Milan and Sasha.
Shakira’s publicist issued the following statement: “We regret to inform you that we will be parting ways. We respectfully request that you respect the privacy of our children, who are our top priority. Thank you for your patience.”
It follows reports that the Barcelona defender was caught in bed with another woman.
Suzy Cortez, also known as Miss BumBum, claimed that Pique hit on her during the controversy.
She discussed how she met Pique and even mentioned that she received messages from the soccer player in which he asked for measurements of one of her body parts.
Cortez stated that Gerard Pique sent her messages, some of which were not pleasant.
