Ukraine’s armed forces claim to have destroyed a Russian “parade boat” used by Vladimir Putin to inspect naval fleets.
On May 8, a laser-guided bomb dropped from a Ukraine-operated Bayraktar TB2 drone near Snake Island in the Black Sea was aimed at the Raptor-class patrol vessel, according to the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.
A video captured the moment the Raptor-class patrol boat was hit and caught fire near Snake Island in the Black Sea while attempting to deliver supplies to troops stationed there.
Putin has used 001-designated boats for fleet inspections in Sevastopol and St. Petersburg.
According to the Ukraine Now Telegram channel: “We learned that one of the destroyed Raptor-class boats in the Snake Island area was Putin’s parade boat.”
According to the report, the Russian leader’s vessel is a “specially equipped parade boat with tail number 001.”
“On board, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has several times hosted military parades in St. Petersburg and Sevastopol.””
A laser-guided bomb was dropped from a Bayraktar TB2 drone near the island, which is about 80 miles from Odessa’s port.
Similar attacks have been reported in recent days by Ukraine’s armed forces, including the destruction of a Serna-class landing craft by a TB2.
