The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, H.E Muhammadu Buhari has said that his government has performed extremely better than the previous administrations.
While addressing his party members at their National Executive Council meeting in Abuja on Wednesday 20th April, President Buhari intimated that his government has done better than the previous administrations despite the limited resources available to him when he assumed office.
I would like us to reflect on what the situation was before we came in. How many local government areas were under the control of terrorists in the North-East? In the South-South, we all know what the situation was; now we have relative peace. With the resources at our disposal, we have done very well, better than previous administrations, he said.
He lamented that the Nigerian citizens seem to have forgotten how deteriorating the situation was before he assumed office as the President of the Federal Republic. He added that he is aware that situations in the North-Central and North-West are still very discomforting but he will enforce strict measures to curb the rampant fatalities in such communities.
People are very forgetful of what the situation was. Our main problem now is in the North-West and North-Central. People are killing one another in these places, what for? We are going to be very tough,” he added.
As a reminder, President Buhari was sworn in as President of the Federal Republic in 2015 along with the 15th head of state after winning the general election.
