Barbadian singer Rihanna has revealed why she didn’t want to hide her baby bump from the public eyes.
News of Rihanna expecting her first baby with ASAP Rocky headlined several blogs and elicited a lot of several reactions.
The announcement was followed by baby bump photos as she made presence at several events plus award shows.
In an interview with Vogue, Rihanna, who was featured on the magazine’s May cover story, said that being pregnant is something to be proud of and should not be concealed.
The businesswoman revealed that she chose not to buy for maternity apparel as soon as she found out she was carrying a baby.
“When I found out I was pregnant, I thought to myself, there is no way I’m going to go shopping in no maternity aisle.
“ My body is doing incredible things right now, and I’m not going to be ashamed of that, This time should feel celebratory because why should you be hiding your pregnancy?
“I’m sorry, it’s too much fun to get dressed up and I am not going to let that part disappear because my body is changing,” she said.
