
The police have sent off a manhunt for nearly 15 shooters who assaulted the Dakpema Chief’s castle in Tamale on Monday first light.
Five individuals including the Dakpema Chief, Naa Bawa Fuseini, supported wounds and are being treated at the Tamale Hospital.
The shooters apparently raged the royal residence at around 5am.
The Dakpema boss after hearing the shots supposedly went out to enquire what was going on and the shooters were said to have discharged at him.
He was hit in the leg.
Among the harmed are two females and two men, one, a sub-boss.
The shooters as indicated by observers were in veils when they assaulted.
Bloodstains and shot openings are apparent on the dividers of the royal residence.
There have been a few strains in Tamale between the Dakpema Palace and Gulkpe Naa Palace over who is the head of Tamale for quite a while.
While the Dakpema Chief cases the title of Chief of Tamale, the Gulkpe Naa stands firm on a similar situation.
This has driven the Overlord of Dagbon to give an assertion illustrating the obligations of the two castles.
The Crime Officer of the Northern Regional Police Command, Superintendent Bernard Baba Ananga, in a radio meeting with Accra based Citi FM said:
“Simply today our consideration was attracted to a shooting occurrence at the Dakpema Chief’s Palace and which we had data that the boss was harmed among five others.
“So we immediately prepared, continued to the spot, our night obligation men on watches, heard the discharge and immediately moved to the area and when they arrived, individuals had as of now left the scene and we saw slug openings on the royal residence and we moved to the Tamale Teaching Hospital to visit the harmed.”
He said by eyewitnesses,15 individuals installed a Toyota Hilux struck the royal residence and shot, four others and the main himself supported discharge wounds. They are right now in the Tamale Teaching Hospital getting treatment. We are as yet researching and getting data. We have announced a manhunt for those 15 men, we accept we would track down them. The people group is quiet as we are as of now doing police watches.”
